Biasanya saham penggerak indeks adalah bluechips, perusahaan berkapitalisasi besar dan tergabung dalam LQ-45. Windows dressing terjadi di IHSG, bukan berarti terjadi pada semua saham. Pemilihan saham yang salah juga dapat menyebabkan kerugian. Sebaiknya tetap konfirmasikan dengan analisis teknikal dan tidak sekedar merespon keluarnya laporan keungan suatu emiten dalam windows dressing.
